Russ Lambert is an accomplished restructuring specialist, former Fortune 50 operating executive, and corporate attorney. He has broad experience in financial restructurings and operational turnarounds across multiple business segments. Additionally, Lambert excels in combining loan workouts with careful litigation management and capital raising. A high-energy executive, he is skilled in finance, accounting, technology, and corporate legal, organizational and operational fundamentals.


Russ has a successful track record of leading and advising companies over a broad range of financial, legal, strategic and operational matters leading to outstanding results.

Prior to beginning the practice of law, Russ' foundational corporate experience included over eleven years with Westinghouse in a wide range of executive and staff assignments including Director of E-Commerce and Director of International Operations. Then as COO and CEO, he led a $100M consumer-focused middle-market technology company through Chapter 11 restructuring, including international outsourcing of all back-office and sales operations, culminating in a sale to PE firm. Additionally, he has held multiple CEO positions, including working for a top twenty US private equity firm as a CEO leading a merger integration of two technology companies.


As an attorney and business advisor, Russ worked as outside “General Counsel” for a select group of corporate clients, including PE firms and a commercial developer. He is an accomplished transactional facilitator and negotiator, having led multiple complex business negotiations and re-finance workouts including acquisitions via bankruptcy. Currently his firm Lazarus Partners teams up with PE firms and investors to recover value from challenged investments and transform stagnant companies into growth performers. He has an extensive background working with venture and middle-market companies through periods of rapid growth or distress and exits. Russ has orchestrated and led multiple complex turnarounds and restructurings. He is a published author in e-business strategy and has written on PE portfolio management.
